Welcome to the world, Caitlyn Jenner!

“For all intents and purposes, I’m a woman.”

It was just two months ago when Jenner sat across from Diane Sawyer and identified as a trans woman.

And now, Caitlyn Jenner, formerly known as Bruce, has introduced herself to the world triumphantly and with class.

What an entrance!

What an entrance!

Her cover was met with an explosion of support from family, other celebs, and fans alike.

Of course not everyone was so supportive.

Ignorant.

Transphobic jerk.

But hey, Caitlyn Jenner is not only a gold-winning Olympic athlete, but now an inspiration to people worldwide. And Drake Bell is well… a yesterday’s news Nickelodeon has-been with a penchant for rude comments on twitter.

Don’t let the haters get you down, Caitlyn! And again, welcome.

For all intents and purposes??? That’s a huge exaggeration. Real women get pregnant (or the human race would die). I’m sorry this person’s mind is misaligned with his/her body, but it’s a simple scientific fact that he/she is not a real woman.

Real women get pregnant? Not every woman can or chooses to, that argument is invalid. By your definition a woman that was born female but is unable or chooses not to reproduce is somehow less of a woman.

There are three components that make up our gender identity: our sexual orientation, behavior and mannerism preferences, and core gender identity (that gut feeling we have about the gender we identify with). In most of us, these three components and our anatomy align as male or female. For some, however, these components don’t all match up.

And don’t use science as a catch-all term because SCIENCE has many theories about why some people have female brains in male bodies, vice versa, etc.

And finally- why do you care? How does this woman (Yes, Caitlyn Jenner is as much of a woman as I am) impact your life, by living in an authentic way which makes her happy? Can’t people just be glad a person is happy and move on, even if they don’t want to take the time to understand it?

I’m also not going to argue with you, as it seems most likely, useless. Just leaving you with a little food for thought.
