Supreme Court on Marriage Equality- Holding My Breath Until June.

We are so, so close to country-wide marriage equality.

As I write this, protestors for and against this basic human right are crowded around the Supreme Court. Inside, the justices are beginning to hear oral arguments about whether or not same-sex marriage is protected by the constitution (Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, anyone?)

Obviously tearing our country apart.

Obviously tearing our country apart.

So we won’t have any final answers until June (so close, yet so far!) and I can’t wait. Both sides will be arguing whether or not we as a nation are obligated to recognize same-sex marriage, and whether or not marriages performed in other states “carry over.”

Please, tell me more about the sanctity of marriage.

Please, tell me more about the sanctity of marriage.

I obviously am very much for equality, and am anxiously awaiting the verdict. Everyone deserves to love and be loved.
